Lysimachos (305-281 BC), AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 16.65 g, 12h). Pergamon mint. Struck circa 287/6-282 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander III "the Great" right, with horn of Ammon; (K below) / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear diagonally in background; crescent to outer left, cult image to inner left, ZΩ monogram in exergue. Arnold-Biucchi, Pergamene 33 (O8/R32); Thompson 220; Müller 294; SNG France –. SPLENDID PORTRAIT of ALEXANDER III "THE GREAT" in the BEST and FINEST HELLENISTIC STYLE ! Struck in high Relief on broad flan of good metal; attractive gray tone with golden hues. Good Extremely Fine.
