MARVELOUS and VERY RARE AKRAGAS BRONZE (AE) HEMILITRON in FINEST CLASSICAL STYLE SICILY - AKRAGAS - BRONZE (AE) HEMILITRON Sicily, Akragas. Bronze (AE) Hemilitron (18.47 g, 26mm), c. 400-380 BC. "ΑΚΡΑΓΑΣ", horned head of river-god AKRAGAS left. / Eagle standing left on Ionic Column, looking back; crab in left field; six pellets in right field obove eagle wings. Calciati I, 194, 89; SNG ANS 1097ff; AMB 269 (RR). Struck on brod flan with SPLENDID, shining green-brown patina. Condition (despite minor corrosion): Obverse: Good Very Fine / Reverse: Good Extremely Fine / almost Mint State. Despite minor corrosion this is a MARVELOUS and VERY RARE coin from ARTISTIC DIES in FINEST CLASSICAL STYLE !!! Especially the Reverse with this STUNNING Eagle on the Ionic Column in this EXCELLENT Condition is EXTREMELY RARE, as it is almost impossible to be found in AKRAGAS Bronzes!!!
