VERY RARE SYRACUSE TETRADRACHM - SIGNED by PARMENIDES SICILY, SYRACUSE, AR TETRADRACHM Sicily, Syracuse AR Tetradrachm, 17.30 g. Struck circa 405-399 BC. Signed work by Parmenides. Charioteer driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; ear of grain in exergue / ΣΥ(ΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ), Head of Arethusa left, wearing triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace, hair in ampyx and sphendone decorated with stars, Signature "ΠΑΡ(ME)" under the neck.
