NERO. AE Dupondius. Rome, 65 AD. Obv. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER PM TRP IMP PP, radiate head right, Rev. ROMA SC Roma seated left on cuirass, holding wreath and parazonium; various arms around. RIC 296; Cohen 280 Flaw on the end of the obv. legend (blurred letters), and slightly doublestruck on rev., some surface cracks, otherwise sharp strike with high relief, nice portrait. Tan brown patina. Paris coin fair, ex. J. Creusy, 19 March 2011.

This coin is actually better in hands, the sharpness and high relief of both obv. and rev. overcome the strike and surfaces issues. Surfaces are fully natural too, the color is indeed very pleasing.
