What I love most about coins in such perfect condition is that you can see the skill and artistry of the engraver. On many coins you miss the details of the charioteers face or that of the horses.

I would love to see this under a loop, so I hope you find away to take a high res picture.

Thanks for the new image. It is a remarkably well engraved coin. Fine details such as the wind swept hair of the charioteer, or the ears of the horses are simply perfect. The drivers chlamys is a thoughtfully designed device, it enhances the apearance of action, rather than being a static element. The hair of the charioteer, the chlamys and the horses tail all showing the effects of rapid forward motion.
