ISLANDS OFF CARIA: Rhodes. Ca. 230-205 BC. AR didrachm (6.63 gm). RODION, large rose with single bud to right, Apollo with lyre to left, KES-IS below. Ashton, "The Coinage of Rhodes 408-ca. 190 BC," pl. 6.9 (same obverse die). A magnificent specimen, deeply struck from fresh dies of excellent style, and beautifully toned. Good extremely fine. Ex.
