Edward III Groat Series E Obv: Crowned bust facing, arches not fleured over Crown. Legend: +(EDWARD)oDoGoREXoAIIGLo7oFoRoAIICDhY(B) o = Annulets Stops. The use of Annulets between the first three letters of FRANC is not recorded by LAL but the placing of Annulets between letters within words is noted by Stewartby (See 'English Coins 1180 to 1551' page 259 PTC Series E Groats). II = Unbarred N's. R looks like P with horizontal bar at the foot of the upright. Squared E in Edward - although most of the letter is off-flan the square horizontal foot of the E is clear. The lower half of the final B of hYB is just visible next to the lower stub of the initial cross. Rev: Long cross quartered by trefoil of pellets in the angles.
