that is one heck of a bronze. The reverse portrait is exceptionally well done. The lion is ferocious. The condition is fantastic for a bronze.

It captured my heart as soon as I saw it. The dealer tells me it is high relief with nice surfaces. I find this particularly credible when you realize it weighs 9.5 grams with a slightly larger diameter than a denarius. The minor pit on Apollo's face detracts a little, but I think the dealer underestimated its grade. I'd call it EF. The lion is powerful. -c
