This is a lovely coin. Both the obverse and reverse are beautiful and the toning is great!

In 63 B.C. Julius Caesar spent heavily to be elected Pontifex Maximus. L. Cassius Longinus, one of the three moneyers for this year, chose to highlight the event by placing a Vestal Virgin on the obverse of this coin and a man voting on the reverse. This coin differs from the preceding example due to the artistry of the celators, not the condition as both are Mint State. The celator of the obverse is clearly a master with his sensitive attention to detail. Notice the delicacy of the drapery on her shoulder. This coin has blazing luster beneath rainbow toning. It is perfectly struck and centered. I assume the reverse was displayed at the Cincinnati Art Museum because the toning is so dramatic.
