Obverse: IMP PROBVS P F AVG. Radiate and cuirassed bust of Probus facing right.
Reverse: VICTORIA GERM. Two captives seated at foot of trophy; in exergue, R - A divided by thunderbolt.

After two years successfully campaigning against the Germanic peoples, including Franks, Vandals and Burgundians, Probus issued this coin to celebrate their defeat and the restoration of the Roman frontier on the Rhine and Upper Danube.
