Note: The coin is slightly double-struck, as can be seen on Moneta's head. The double-strike probably accounts for the misspelling of MONET as MONIT and NOSTR as NOSSTR. However, this coin also has the short obverse legend where the expected legend is IMP C M A MAXIMIANVS P F AVG. The short legend was only used on this reverse for the star in exergue only in c. 300, so this piece is worthy of more study to determine when it was actually minted.
