Nice coin, sharp strike on both sides, which can be a bit challenging for the reverse. During the minting process, in order to have a sharp strike, the flan must not be too hot, but then the risk is to break the flan at strike, which happened here, fortunately with limited consequences.

Thanks J. This coin has the sharpest Dacia reverse I have encountered so far. It was common to use the reverse dies way too long, of course, leading to loss of detail, so I was pleased to stumble across this one. The toning is more iridescent than the photo shows and I can't tell if the asterisk like shape in the field before the portrait is merely a defect or a banker's mark. It's so superficial I suspect it's just a minor flaw. bw, h
