P M TR P V COS III PP SC Philipp in Toga seated left on curule chair, holding globe and scepter. Cohen 153 (6 Francs) Rare type issued by the 1st officina for the 3rd consulate of Philip (type already used for the 6th and 7th emission). A very rare As: Cohen quotes a private coll. (M. Colin), and R. Bland located only one spec. in the major museum collections, namely in Vienna.

 

I wrote your identical CGB spec. into my RIC as confirmation for the existence of the piece! I don't remember the details, but it's probably a coin I would have liked to acquire for my own coll., and eventually for the BM, if I'd only been quicker!
