Rev. LIBERALITAS AVG II S C Liberalitas standing front, head left, holding coin counting board and double cornucopiae.

Special emission commmemorating the second liberality granted for the first consulate of Gordian. His first liberality was done under the reign of Balbinus and Pupienus, when the young prince was only Caesar.
Scarce.
Fantastic lacquered blue-green patina. Bought on 14 Oct 1995 for the late Pesce.
