The Athena Fund sale was an interesting experience. It was largely the unwinding of the Hunt brothers' attempt to corner the ancient coin market just as they tried to get the silver market as well. There were several of these available at the time in FDC or near FDC condition. This coin is flawless and is a relatively early portrait. The reverse is a little sexy too. -h
