AR Paphlagonia, Sinope reduced Drachm 330-300 B.C. (4.94g) Sinope was a Milesian colony, became an important port on the Black Sea and was the first to strike coins. According to one legend, Sinope was the daughter of Asopus and Methone, whom Apollo captured from her home in Boeotia and abandoned on the shore of the Euxine.
