Vepcorf 10 Posted April 4, 2007 Yes what makes it more special is that it is a 'north 824 bust with a jewel cross portrait with a lis head to the sceptre as opposed to the more usual trefoil head and Nottingham is a scarce mint. It's the first to be recorded of this moneyer and type in the Early medieval catalogue. I've been told that only 4 have come up for sale in the last century and three were in the celebrated elmore jones collection in 1971 one of which was a cut half. Link to comment
