"Volusian . AD 251-253. AR Antoninianus (3.33 g, 6h). Rome mint. Special emission, August-October AD 251. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / VOTIS / DECENNA / LIBVS in three lines within wreath. RIC IV -; cf. RSC 139. VF, toned, thin die break on obverse. Extremely rare. This type was struck as part of the special emission celebrating the elevation of Volusian to the rank of Augustus, by wishing him ten years of vows." - From CNG 72 (14 June 2006), 1674 [Estimate USD 750 / Realized USD 1050].
