FAUSTINA SENIOR (under ANTONINUS PIUS). Æ As. Rome, circa 141-142 AD. Obv. DIVA AVGVSTA FAVSTINA Draped bust right Rv. PIET AVG SC Burning altar adorned with palms, 2 front doors closed. Cohen 256 (10 F) Rare. This type bears the initial legend including AVGVSTA, that was later dropped in 147 AD following Faustina Junior being proclaimed Augusta after the birth of her first child (according to Mattingly)
