As Augustus, countermarked in Syria

Augustus. Æ AS. Asia minor, 27 BC-14 AD. Uncertain type, but probably: Obv. CAESAR bare head right Rev. AVGVSTVS within wreath TI CÆ and AVG in rectangular incuses and possibly a third, obscured countermark on one side, a dolphin swimming right with two annulets within in a rectangular incuse on the other. Found in Syria.
