However, in the Leu example there is a different reverse and magistrate (KΛEINOΣ; Kleinos / Muensterberg, Br.M. 198), which suggests that the coin above and the Leu example represent a die transition pair and possibly the succession of magistrates from Kleinos-to-Xanthippos or vice-versa. Greater wear appears on the Xanthippos obverse than the Leu Kleinos example suggesting that the order of succession was from Kleinos-to-Xanthippos. Muensterberg's numbering of Kos examples in the British Museum also supports this line of succession. A similar reverse die and magistrate (Xanthippos) is seen on a piece previously unattributed, which sold Kuenker 54 (#1980), 2000. GK210
