Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy III Euergetes. 247/6-221/20 B.C. Æ octochalkon (25 mm, 12.14 g). Alexandria. Head of Alexander the Great right, wearing elephant's skin headdress and aegis / BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, eagle standing left on thunderbolt; ER monogram below. Svoronos 977; SNG Copenhagen - (but cf. no. 232 for a very similar coin). Good VF, brown patina.
