Philip I. A.D. 244-249. Æ sestertius (30 mm, 17.26 g). Rome, late A.D. 244. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / VICTORIA AVG, S C across field, Victory standing left, holding wreath in right hand, palm in left. RIC 192a; Hunter 81; Cohen 232. Superb EF, dark brown patina. A fantastic example of this coin which references Philip's war with Persia.
