Drachm 415/410-387, AR 4.31 g. Lion scalp facing. SNG Copenhagen 1934. SNG ANS 665. Historia Numorum Italy 2497. Demeester 20 (this coin). Very rare and among the finest specimens known of this difficult issue. Wonderful old cabinet tone, extremely fine Ex: NAC 82; May 2015 Sotheby's Auction March 1996 Privately purchased from Ciani in 1947.

Thanks. This type has always been one of my favorites, but the tetradrachms cost a small fortune. I didn't realize they also existed in drachms until seeing the NAC catalog.

You're right, bad choice of words. The tets cost a fortune, and this drachm was a small fortune! I will be out of action for a while now...
