Divus Julius Caesar. Denarius (Silver, 3.68g), struck under the magistrate Q. Voconius Vitulus, circa 40 BC. Very rare. A very appealing portrait and a lovely old cabinet tone, AEF/GVF From write-up in Nomos 2 for a coin with the same obverse die: The posthumous portraits of Julius Caesar vary greatly in their quality, even within a single issue.
