Obv: Crowned bust facing within a tressure of 9 Arches.
Legend: +EDWARD'.D:GRA:REX:ANGL':Z:FRANC:D.hYB
X of REX is initial cross 1 placed sideways.
Pellet stops in Obv;horizontal bar contraction marks over D's (D.GRA & D.HyB)
Rev: Long Cross quartered by trefoil of pellets.
Outer inscription reads: +POSVI /o DEVM o A / DIVTORE / M o MEV - Annulet Stops ( o ) and
Lombardic M's,horizontal bar contraction mark over V of MEV.
Open E's and C's and reversed barred N's on Obv .
Bought eBay Sept 2014. Wt 4.35 gms
SCBC 1563/65; North 1142/47; LAL B2/C2 - mule combination not noted in Lawrence.
This use of pellet stops in the obverse only occurs in the very early Groats of Series B.
