Henry VI King of France(Disputed) & England AD 1422 / 53 Salut d'Or - Mint Rouen (Mintmark = Leopard). Coin pierced for suspension. Obverse: Angel Gabriel in profile left behind quartered arms of England; facing Virgin Mary right with nimbus, behind arms of France. AVE on scroll reads downwards between them, within beaded circle (Pellet in Annulet below X of REX). Legend: hENRICVS:DEI:GRA:(FRA)NCORV:Z:AGLIE:REX Double Pellet stops in legends Reverse: Central long cross,fleur de lis to left, Lion to right; h below, all within tressure of ten arcs, fleur de lis on cusps, all within linear & beaded circle. Legend:- XPC * VINCIT * XPC * REGNAT * XPC * IMPERAT. Mullet Stops and Pellet in Annulet below T of IMPERAT Pellet in Annulet is the privy mark of the moneyer Etienne Marcel and was in use between March 1433 to October 1444.
