Reverse: VICTORIA AVGG. Victory advancing left, holding wreath in her outstretched right hand and palm in her left; in right field, A; in exergue, ANT. C : 53 | Sear (1988) : 4080 | Vagi : 2955 This coin, often called a quarter nummus or twelfth follis, the exact denomination being uncertain, is assigned to the time of the great persecution of Christians under Gallienus and Maximinus II. The obverse of the coin possibly depicts the statue of Zeus Nikephoros at the Temple of Apollo at Daphne, near Antioch, which Antiochos IV commissioned for his great festival in 167 B.C.
