AR Unit of King Eppillus of the Atrebates Late 1st Cent BC Early 1st Cent AD. Obv:- Crescent with REX CALLE above & below Rev:- Eagle flying right - EPP in left field. Mack 108; V 415; BMC 1016 - 1060;SCBC 99. Bought Seaby Bulletin E138 May 1984 Eppillus maintained himself as King of the Atrebates based on Calleva (Silchester Hampshire) & in Kent for a short time in the later years of the 1st Century BC & the early years of the 1st Century AD. He minted coins jointly with Verica for short time
