JULIA MAMAEA (under SEVERUS ALEXANDER). Æ As. Rome, 230 AD Obv. IVLIA MAMAEA AVGVSTA draped bust right, wearing stephane Rev. FELICITAS PVBLICA SC Felicitas seated left, holding caduceus and cornucopia. RIC 677, C. 22 Jérôme Mairat classified the emissions of Alexander and considers this one to have occured between beginning and mid 230 AD (see http://www.inumis.com/rome/articles/...ndre3-fr.html ). Superb deep natural turquoise and green-yellow patina. Found near Ostia (Rome's harbour)
