Rome mint, A.D. 69 - 70
Obv - Head of Vespasian, lauerate, r.
Rev - Fortuna, draped, standing l.,setting r. hand on prow and holding cornucopiae in l. hand.
VF+
A reverse type that wishes for a safe return of the new emperor Vespasian back to Rome after the end of the Civil war. Fortuna's hand resting on a prow is quite appropriate.
A nice coin marred only by the slightly off center obverse. The celetors were still finding it difficult to come up with a portrait of the new emperor.
