As Agrippa

Roma_Orbis

GAIUS CALIGULA for Agrippa. Æ As. Rome or local mint, 37-41 AD. Obv. AGRIPPA L. F. COS III Head of Agrippa left, wearing rostral crown Rev. SC Neptune standing left, holding small dolphin and trident. The striking and peculiar style quite differs from the usual style met on Agrippa asses, leading to envision the possibility of an issue from a local mint, Spanish or Gallic.
