Actually the Constantinopolis 35 bust (the last one in the picture) is idealized, compare it with the slightly earlier Constantinopolis 30 bust, which shows Constantine with a thicker neck. He was even nicknamed "bull-neck" The later 35 bust is a re-inventing of his persona- his features have softened, his neck is thinner and his hair is longer. Constantine undergoes an amazing physical transformation, perhaps symbolizing his spiritual transformation.
