RIC 366 (Vesp), BMC 80 (Vesp), RSC 121 Rome Mint, 72-73 ADT CAESA Obv - T CAES IMP VESP PON TR POT; Titus, bearded, laureate, r. Rev - NEP RED; Neptune stg l., r. foot on globe, with acrostolium and sceptre. aVF A reverse type that commemorates Titus' return to Rome after his completion of the Jewish War. Neptune, the god of waters, would be an appropriate deity to give thanks to after a safe sea voyage. This coin is rated as common in RIC, but it's not one you find very often.
