I'm always amazed at your additions from auctions. They, like this one, are always coins

that catch my eye as well. This is a real beauty in every respect. I looked at it long and hard in the catalog trying to decide if I should go for it or stay focused on magna graecia. My focus won, this time.

I'm not surprised you likey, Mark. You have a connoiseur's eye. I can't buy all the coins I like that are out there so I might as well get good ones when I do buy.

 

Thanks, Mike. This was probably done by a Greek celator and I can see why it would appeal to you. I appreciate you letting me take this one home. I'll be your numismatic remora. Just leave me a few choice pieces from time to time and I'll be happy. I would be grateful for a nice Greek coin on occasion too. I'm still amazed/impressed you got that beautiful Tarentine stater from CNG before I even got their email it was for sale. What a beauty!
